Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Supervise general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
- Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and working capital requirements.
- Ensure compliance with BIR regulations, tax filings, and other government reporting requirements.
- Lead the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliation across stores and warehouses.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment of promotions, discounts, rebates, and other retail-related transactions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in food retail, FMCG, restaurant, supermarket, convenience store, or multi-branch retail operations is highly preferred.
- Experience handling high-volume transactions and multiple store locations.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
