Responsibilities

Network Management & Automation

  • Operate in a product operating model, contributing to design, implementation, and support of network management platforms and custom-developed automations
  • Demonstrate a service-oriented approach in processing customer requirements and requests
  • Apply knowledge of network management concepts including fault management, configuration compliance, performance management, and event management dashboards
  • Utilize network management technologies such as SNMP, ICMP, API polling, Netconf, Netflow, and Syslog ingestion
  • Employ scripting and automation tools including Python, Ansible, Git, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Perform basic Linux administration tasks such as software installation and updates

Collaboration & Planning

  • Work closely with network teams to identify and document network management use cases
  • Participate in planning sessions to design and create implementation roadmaps
  • Ensure changes meet required standards and quality prior to deployment in production environments
  • Follow the change management process strictly

Execution & Quality Assurance

  • Provide effective time management and prioritize work to meet activity and project deadlines
  • Identify risks that may impact deliverables
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Seek continuous improvement for organizational benefit
  • Remain accountable to team commitments, deliverables, and service level agreements (SLAs)

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related field
  • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CCNP Cloud, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus
  • 4+ years of experience in network monitoring, with a focus on cloud networking and infrastructure
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud networking concepts and technologies including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, security groups, and load balancers
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, with proficiency in cloud networking services and features
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and best practices in a cloud environment
  • Experience with network automation and orchestration tools, IaC practices, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex cloud network issues
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
