Key Responsibilities:
- Needs Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to identify knowledge and performance gaps, target audience characteristics, and desired learning outcomes
- Curriculum Design: Create comprehensive instructional design plans that align with learning objectives, utilizing sound adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Gagne’s Nine Events). Create measurable learning objectives
- Content Development: Develop compelling learning content including e-learning modules, lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, videos, simulations, and assessments
- Multimedia Integration: Select and integrate appropriate multimedia elements (e.g., video, audio, graphics, animations) to enhance learner engagement. Ability to flex content to different learning styles
- Pilot and Evaluation: Partner with SMEs to pilot learning solutions, collect feedback, and iterate on designs. Measure the effectiveness of training programs using appropriate evaluation methods
- Project Management: Manage instructional design projects effectively, meet deadlines, and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest instructional design trends, learning technologies, and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field OR completed at least 2 years in college with no back subjects
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles
- Proficiency in authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience with Intellum and Evolve are a big plus
- Experience with video and audio editing tools is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
